SoftHSM has now been released as version 1.0.0

Please download this version from http://www.opendnssec.org/files/source/softhsm-1.0.0.tar.gz

Next update on SoftHSM will get a tool that can convert BIND key files to PKCS8 file format (so it can be imported to SoftHSM). This tool will make it possible to migrate from BIND over to OpenDNSSEC, without losing the private keys.

Then will the work on version two of SoftHSM start.
